Podcast of the Paranormal
We talk to ourselves in the dark so you don’t have to. Hallowed Ground Paranormal Research and Investigations has embarked on a podcasting journey. Come join us as an extension of our research team. We’ll discuss investigations, analyze evidence, and delve into some dark tourism.
Your hosts talk about ethical frameworks within the paranormal community and some guidelines that can be utilized to ensure that we are acting in a way that builds rapport and confidence with clients. We also discuss why ghosts always ask for help and some themes in historical ghost stories.
Gabrielle, Jody, and Jeff explore the Pike County Historical Society's Columns Museum. The team investigates the building's neoclassical architecture, its rich history, and its various exhibits, including the Lincoln flag and items from local tribes and notable historical figures. The hosts discuss their paranormal investigation using voice recorders to capture EVPs and Estes sessions, and review their evidence. Throughout the night, they experience unexplained phenomena, including strange noises and EVPs, feelings of presence, and some interesting interactions through the Estes method.
On this episode of "Podcast of the Paranormal," Gabrielle, Jody and Jeff (who was not present) delve into a wooded area they call "The Church". Jody shares his history with the area, including encounters with mysterious "ghost lights" and auditory illusions from the babbling brook. There's brief discussions of local, unfounded urban legends as they recount their chilling first investigation at the local spot.
After their younger companions left, Gabrielle, Jody, and another former member experienced strange rustling. This culminated in Jody, Gab, and a fourth former team member encountering a terrifying antlered shadow entity crossing the road before charging directly at them. This frightening encounter still leaves Gabrielle fearful of the entity's nature, yet "The Church" remains one of their favorite locations for investigations. The hosts invite listeners to share similar encounters and folklore, especially concerning "man-deer" sightings.
Jody and Gabrielle pick up their conversation with psychic, author, and fellow podcaster Heather Woodward, diving deeper into the intriguing world of thoughtforms and their connection to the paranormal.
The discussion kicks off with a fascinating comparison between thought forms and generative AI. Heather shares her unique perspective, suggesting that just as AI conversations "exist" only when engaged, so too do thoughtforms activate when given energy and attention. This concept offers a comforting thought: perhaps these entities aren't constantly lurking, but rather brought to life by our interaction and focus.
In part one of this two-part episode, Gabrielle and Jody talk with psychic, author, and fellow podcaster Heather Woodward about the Pearl Experiment which was influenced by the Philip Experiment. Together, they dive into the concept of thoughtforms and their role in paranormal phenomena, touch on automatic writing, and share a few personal stories along the way.
Gabrielle shares spooky stories from her haunted childhood home, while Jody recalls a few strange moments of his own. They talk about weird things happening in their current house, and their kids are experiencing it too.
